Top 10 Cons of Canva Design Tool
As above mentioned, Canva offers some pros. But there are cons of Canva too. Here they are.
1. Canva Style
Canva is a great tool for creating your designs, but it’s important to be mindful of its limitations.
For example: how many pictures do you see on stock photography sites that look “stock-ish” and similar in style?
The same could happen with Canva if businesses were using content without magic input from them or their brand guidelines – which would make everything appear generic!
2. Limitation on the Number of Templates
The main cons of Canva are the “limitations”. While Canva continues to grow, the limitations of templates and stock photography make it difficult for free users.
3. Alignment Concerns
Canva is great for graphic designers looking to create professional-quality assets without the high price tag of Adobe products. The alignments can be tricky, and sometimes you have no control over how your design will turn out, but with a little trial-and-error, all skill levels should find something they like best in this versatile program!
4. Export Settings are Limited
What you see when printing or saving it to your computer is not always the same as what Canva outputs.
For example, if I export a file in RGB and then try to open it with PowerPoint, which only supports CMYK file formats – all of my designs will look drastically different than how they did originally because there’s no way for them. Both use their own distinct color spaces!
5. Cannot Download the “Raw” File to Your Computer
If you no longer have access to the raw file on your computer and download it for later use, then be aware that Canva will delete this from their system.
The same goes for Canva. You can’t download the raw file if you leave and never return, so make sure it’s worth saving!
6. The Free Version is Limited
The free version has limitations in stock photography, templates, and font; however, it’s okay because you’ll be able to use your branding kit.
You also have limited team sharing abilities with the platform and storage space for files outside what is available on board-store – which isn’t much at all!
7. You are Unable to Move One Design to Another Design
Matching styles between different designs is difficult, and you must do it manually.
8. Intellectual Property Belongs to Canva
It is hard to tell if you own anything about intellectual property.
However, logos on Canva are unclear because they don’t have a unique design and also belong in the public domain, so anyone can use them for free without permission from their creator, including me!
9. Canva can Delete Your Account at Anytime
Canva is a great platform for designing your own personal or professional projects.
One of the cons of Canva is, You aren’t licensing their software to make an independent product; you are simply using it as part of the content creation process—and they can delete either one at any time if something isn’t up to standards!
10. Unique Elements Cannot Be Created
You cannot conjure elements in Canva. Designs can be added to your creations using these prebuilt designs and design-enhancing elements. Only those you are given can be used. It allows you to change the colors and sizes, rotate them, and move them around, but that’s all you can do.

I just want to comment on one of your “Con” items. PowerPoint only supports RGB, not CMYK as stated in Con Item 4. Seems the item has the two file formats mixed up. Thanks.
If you need a simple Canva template based website, it may be fine.
If you would like to add continous text on a few pages, you are out of luck.
To shorten, Canva would do a great service to its users by adding live links in their Help section in how to navigate to solve a problem. Trying to find a solution on their Help section is frustrating process.
I am new to the platform. I am beginner, I have to know about the platform, learn new things.

A big con for Canva pro and free- the customer support for account settings is one of the slowest and difficult to maneuver past the chat bot. Accounts can be disconnected from subscriptions and it is almost impossible to get this fixed via Canva “support “, especially if the customer subscribes with Apple or other than the direct web site.
The program itself is good for quick and attractive designs, but there are serious flaws if something goes wrong.
canva an amazing app that allows free editing for free. this application is best for designers and photographers.
