Under the new Scheduled Content section, users can manage or view upcoming scheduled posts.

▶️ Elon Musk finally owns Twitter – fires CEO & CFO

The Elon Musk era at Twitter has begun, with Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the company finally.

As per The Washington Post:

“The three top Twitter executives were hastily shuttled from the building, the people said.”

It’s still too early to tell how Musk will change the app. Musk has provided vague details of his various plans, which include increasing subscriptions, providing alternative algorithms for a more customized experience, and improving the app’s data targeting and matching for ads and other content. Twitter’s never been overly good at uncovering relevant content, and maybe, with his own team coming in, Musk may have a whole new way of honing in on relevant data signals and maximizing the experience.

Twitter Tests New Link to Preview Display for NFT Artworks

Twitter’s testing another NFT integration, this time with a new link preview display of NFT artworks when links are shared from certain marketplaces for digital goods.

As you can see from this example, Twitter is now looking to provide more showcase options for NFT art, which won’t cost you anything. This is generated from the URL details, not your crypto wallet.

▶️ Twitter adds a ‘Communities’ Module for professional profiles

Twitter has just announced another new feature for Professional Profiles – the ability to highlight a Twitter community on your main display in the app. This is a great way for pro users to show their support for a particular community, and to help promote it to other users.

The new addition feature means that Professional Profiles now have five Spotlight elements to choose from to display on their Twitter home page.

Those are:

●      Location Spotlight – Showcase your business’ location, hours of operation, and additional contact methods

●      Shop Module – Highlight products, with direct purchase links in the app

●      Mobile App Spotlight – Display an app at the top of your Twitter feed

●      Link Spotlight – Add a link, with CTA, via a prominent button on your page

▶️ LinkedIn rolls out the ‘About this profile’ element to combat frauds

LinkedIn New Feature - About This Profile

LinkedIn’s adding a new ‘About this profile’ element, which will provide more insight into when a profile was created, when it was last updated, and more.

On another front, LinkedIn has also improved its machine learning and AI models to better detect uploaded profile images that have been created by an AI image app.

This is going to become a more prevalent problem over time, as AI image generators get better and better at creating convincing replicas of real-world content.

Finally, LinkedIn’s also adding new warning prompts on DMs that include ‘high-risk content that could impact your security’.

▶️ YouTube announces a range of design changes and UI updates

One of the most notable changes is pinch-to-zoom, which allows users to expand the playback screen to examine certain details. Moreover, YouTube is now offering more precise searches to help users locate the exact point in a video clip they wish to skip.

In Ambient Mode, the background shifts slightly to emphasize the main content of the video according to its colour.

Although YouTube is reassuring creators that the new format will still attract attention by changing the Subscribe button’s current red colour, which makes it stand out.

According to Instagram, the Creator Portfolio has the advantage over a Creator Marketplace listing because it allows creators to share their profiles directly with potential partners.

A new feature now allows some creators to add multiple links to their IG bios, which can help expand their business-building potential.

At the right of the main link, you’ll find an ‘and 2 others’ indicator pointing to the additional URLs listed in the link section. From there, you’ll see a pop-up with multiple URLs, allowing you to drive traffic directly from your Instagram account to more sources.
